Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi Visa Electron Pre-Paid International Contactless Card

This is a pre-paid, refillable debit card created through a collaboration between the Banca Popolare di Sondrio and Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi. Used with the university ID card (www.unibocconi.eu/idcard) for students and staff, it allows users to make payments or withdrawals in Italy and abroad, as well as place payments for purchases on the internet.
On the same card, the technology "Visa payWave" technology is available, a quick and safe payment option created in the area of contactless services.    
With Visa payWave, payments can be made easily by waving the card near an electronic reader without swiping or inserting it, all thanks to the use of radio technology. This technology allows card holders to make payments of less than 25 Euros (micropayments), like many everyday purchases, in less than one second. 
Not connected to a checking account, the card can be activated at any branch of the Banca Popolare di Sondrio and can be used immediately.
For services on campus, through its magnetic band or chip (also in radio frequency mode) the  "smart card" can also be used to automatically enable or disable physical access to laboratories, libraries, classrooms, dining halls, reserved areas, conferences and events, as well as virtual access to internet or online services.
