Accessibility statement
What is accessibility in the digital age?
Accessibility means the possibility, even for persons with reduced or impeded motor or sensorial capabilities, to have access to the information that is available on the Internet without prejudice and in a completely autonomous way.
The accessibility (according to directives of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and in particular the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)) of an Internet service covers many aspects: accessible web-sites must guarantee navigation to any user.
The Accessible Digital Bank project required constant care inthe planning and implementation of the "presence" of the bank as awhole on Internet, requiring the redefinition of the online services provided by the bank in an accessible way and in a context of continuous improvement:
- 2002, the Internet Banking service (SCRIGNOfacile);
- 2003, the institutional portal (www.popso.it);
- 2004, the webcam site (webcam.popso.it) and our "Galleria d'Arte"(www.popsoarte.it);
- 2007, our library (Biblioteca Luigi Credaro perl'economia e il territorio) and the portal about on line securty (Navigosereno.it).
This has implied a process of empowerment of the staff that work on the themes of development of web applications.
